1. We believe that the Bible as commonly received by the Protestant Churches is the supreme authority in all matters of Christian faith and conduct. All of the non-apocryphal books of the Old and New Testaments are given by divine inspiration and are the inerrant written word of God.
2. We believe in one God who exists eternally in three persons of the blessed Trinity– the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
3. We believe in God the Father, Maker of heaven and earth, infinite, perfect and the eternal Almighty.
4. We believe in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death and bodily resurrection, in His ascension into heaven and sitting on the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
5. We believe in the Holy Spirit, who leads us into the Truth, dwells in the hearts of all Christians, leads us to profess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, persuades us to repent our sins, and preserves Christians in sanctification unto glory.
6. We believe that the particular outward signs of spiritual gift claimed by Pentecostal and charismatic movements are not necessary nor sufficient unto salvation and sanctification (I Cor. 12-14; Hebrews 2:4), and the practices of such signs are not encouraged in Church life.
7. We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, that he fell through sin, and separated from God. We believe the absolute necessity of the new birth in salvation. We believe that our eternal redemption has been accomplished solely by our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that the salvation of the believer comes only through faith in Christ.
8. We believe in the one holy universal Church which is the body of Christ, who is the preeminent head and to which all believers belong, and that the duty of the Church is to proclaim the Gospel of salvation to the world, provide fellowship for believers, to baptize, teach, make disciples and prepare Christians for Christ’s return.
9. We believe that baptism and the Lord’s Supper are the only sacraments of the Church.
