Assistant Pastor David Liu
Pastor David Liu was born in Nanjing, China and immigrated to the US with his Christian parents and came to faith at a local Chinese church. While facing the hardships of studying Chemical Engineering at Cornell, he began to take his faith more seriously and became actively involved in campus ministry there with Cornell CRU.
After graduating from Cornell University in 2007, David spent 3 years working for a IT company as a project manager for a major Telecom Company. In 2011, David answered God’s calling by enrolling in the Westminster Theological Seminary (WTS) during which he also served as a pastoral intern at Tenth Presbyterian Church. He earned his M.Div. degree in 2015. After this, he served at First Ithaca Chinese Christian Church as an intern in the English Ministry.
Pastor David currently serves as the youth assistant pastor in TCCGP since the Fall of 2017. He preaches regularly in the youth service, teaches Sunday school, and leads the Water to Wine youth group on Friday nights.

Interim Senior Pastor Peter Chow
From 2005 to 2012, Rev. Peter Chow served as our full-time senior pastor in the Church; In 2012 he was called by the China Evangelical Seminary (CES) in Taiwan to be the president of the seminary. In 2015 he retired from the CES seminary and came back to Philadelphia to serve half-time in TCCGP. In 2024 Pastor Zhou was called by the Lord to serve as the interim senior pastor of TCCGP.
Rev. Chow is very strong in both Christian theological education and organizational administration. He is well known and well respected in the Christian community. His rich experience and firm biblical theology position will be precious to our church. Not only can he provide treasured stability in the church but also prevent the church from going astray in the biblical teaching.
Pastor Kei-Peng Jen – Emeritus
Pastor Kei-Peng Jen is originally from Keelung, Taiwan. After completing his undergraduate degree from Feng Chia University in Taichung, he left Taiwan to pursue his M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Tennessee Technological University. After completing his Ph.D. in 1983, Dr. Jen became a professor of materials science in the mechanical engineering department at Villanova University.
In 1985, Dr. Jen co-founded the Main Line Chinese Christian Church (MLCCC), where he subsequently served as deacon and Sunday School teacher for many years. MLCCC merged with Salvation Chinese Christian Church and the Chinese Church of Philadelphia in 2002 to become Trinity Christian Church of Greater Philadelphia (TCCGP). Dr. Jen served an integral role on the transition team, actively participating in drafting church by-laws. At TCCGP, he also served as a deacon and elder for many years until he was called to become a full-time pastor for the church in 2016.
While continuing to teach full-time at Villanova, Dr. Jen completed his M.A.R. (Master of Arts and Religion) in 2008 from Westminster Theology Seminary. In July 2016, he was ordained by Trinity Christian Church of Greater Philadelphia to serve as a full-time pastor in the church’s Chinese Ministry. Pastor Jen’s theological background, rooted in the Westminster Confession, has a strong conviction to the Reformed Theology. In addition to shepherding, teaching, and preaching in the church, Pastor Jen also serves on various short-term mission projects in Asia.
Pastor Jen retired in January 2024. Pastor Jen and his wife, Chu-Ai, have been married for more than 40 years and have three children. In their free time, Pastor and Mrs. Jen enjoy spending time with their four grandchildren.
Minister Ting-Hua Zhang
Minister Zhang was born in Taiwan. He came to the United States in 1989 and studied for a master’s degree in chemical engineering at New Mexico State University. During his studies, he became a believer in the Bible study class on campus. After being baptized in 1991, he has been serving Chinese scholars in the North American Campus Fellowship. Minister Zhang later switched to high-energy physics. He graduated with a doctorate in 1999 and served as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Physics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Returned to Taiwan in 2002. He worked as a postdoctoral researcher at an Institute of Physics for one year, and then transferred to teach in the Information Management Department of Lingtung University of Science and Technology in Taichung. In 2014, he responded to God’s call and put down his work to study for a Master of Divinity at Chung Tai Theological Seminary in Taichung. After completing his studies, he went to the United States in 2018 to study at Westminster Theological Seminary. He obtained a master’s degree in theology in 2021 and then stayed at Trinity Chinese Church in Philadelphia to serve as a preacher to this day. Currently, the main ministries Minister Zhang is responsible for at Trinity Church are Chinese pulpit, Sunday school, community service and discipleship training.
While in Taiwan, Minister Zhang attended Taichung Liberty Road Baptist Church, served as a church deacon, a Sunday school teacher, and as a Sunday speaker at Dongshi Baptist Church for nearly ten years. He and his church colleagues went to some areas to train disciples, and saw that the harvest field was vast but there was a shortage of workers. This call became the main direction of Minister Zhang’s ministry in the future.
Minister Zhang and his wife have been married for nearly 30 years and have two daughters.
