History
Trinity Christian Church of Greater Philadelphia (TCCGP) was formed as a result of three churches uniting together (Chinese Church of Philadelphia, Chinese Salvation Church, and Main Line Chinese Christian Church) in March, 2002. From March 24, 2002 to February 5, 2012, our Sunday services were held at the Delaware County Christian School in Newtown Square, PA. With the purchase of our new facilities in 2011, TCCGP moved into our Havertown location on February 12, 2012. Currently, TCCGP has over 300 members, with separate Chinese (~200), English adult/youth (~100), and children (~50) worship services.
Members
Members of TCCGP are located throughout the Greater Philadelphia area. The Chinese Ministry (CM) is predominantly Mandarin speaking with some speaking Cantonese, primarily consisting of Chinese professionals from Mainland China, Taiwan and a smaller minority from Hong Kong and other Asian countries, and those who grew up here. The Adult English Ministry(AEM) currently consists of married couples, empty nesters, retirees, parents of some youth group members, and college students visiting on break. Even though we differ in age and life stages, we are united by our faith in God and salvation through Jesus Christ. Regardless of your age or cultural background, we invite you to join us!
The Youth Ministry (YM) and Children Ministry (cM) consist largely of youth and children, respectively, whose parents attend the CM/AEM.
Faith & Governance
TCCGP is a non-denominational evangelical Bible-believing Christian church. Many of our staff are graduates of Westminster Theological Seminary in Glenside, PA with a strong background in Reformed Theology. Our church has a board of Elders, established in 2012, and the church’s pastors, elders, and deacons jointly form the Church Council. The Council is currently the governance body and in charge of the Church’s spiritual and administrative affairs, and is working toward a Elder-led congregation.
